I.M.A. - The history of our company

01.04.1989
Hans-Dieter Gröschler opens his own company, I.M.A H.-D. Gröschler GmbH, based in Herford, after 15 years of experience in the Ford industrial engine business and many years of managing a Ford industrial products dealer.

A new business area, the sale of air conditioning systems for retrofitting, is established on the market.

1993 - 1997
Constant increases in turnover and the rising number of motors and air conditioning systems sold confirm the company's great success. The number of employees doubles and a large number of new products are added to the product range.

A new business area, the sale of KUBOTA engines, is introduced to the market with great success.

Opening of our new building in Leopoldshöhe and relocation of the company to the new site. A modern production and storage hall, an enlarged workshop and/as well as optimized office and administration rooms guarantee the smooth supply of engines, spare parts and air conditioning systems to our customers in the future.

Our company is ISO-certified to ISO 9001:2000 for the first time.

The expansion of the product range to include I.M.A. gas engines and the addition of the new LIEBHERR division with the sale of Liebherr gas and diesel engines as well as hydraulic components and transfer cases from the same manufacturer strengthen the company's market position.

Expansion of our product range to include the I.M.A. Powerpacks in the power range from 28 to 157 kW, with KUBOTA Common Rail technology and exhaust gas treatment in accordance with emission stage V.
